Booking Policy — The Bay Horse, Goldsborough

This Booking Policy explains how we manage table reservations made through our Website or directly with the pub.

1. Making a Reservation

Reservations can be made:

  • Through our online booking system (powered by Wix Bookings)

  • By phone

  • In person

When booking, you must provide accurate contact details so we can confirm or update you about your reservation.

2. Booking Confirmation

Once you submit a booking request:

  • You will receive an automatic confirmation email

  • We may contact you if we need additional information or if adjustments are required

If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us directly.

3. Arrival Times

Please arrive on time for your reservation.

If you are running late:

  • We will hold your table for 15 minutes

  • After this, the table may be released to other guests

If you know you’ll be late, please call us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

4. Cancellations & Changes

If you need to cancel or amend your booking:

  • You can do so via your confirmation email

  • Or by contacting us directly

We appreciate as much notice as possible so we can offer the table to other guests.

5. Group Bookings

For larger groups (typically 8 or more):

  • We may require additional information

  • A pre‑order or deposit may be requested for busy periods or special events

  • We will inform you of any requirements at the time of booking

6. Special Requests

We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs, accessibility requirements, or seating preferences, but we cannot guarantee all requests.

7. No‑Show Policy

If you fail to attend your booking without notifying us:

  • We reserve the right to refuse future bookings

  • During peak periods, repeated no‑shows may result in deposits being required

8. Behaviour & Safety

We reserve the right to refuse service or entry to:

  • Anyone behaving in a disruptive or unsafe manner

  • Anyone under the influence of excessive alcohol

  • Groups that breach our safety or licensing obligations

9. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Please inform us of any allergies when booking or upon arrival. While we take great care, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross‑contamination.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Booking Policy occasionally. The latest version will always be available on our Website.
